Favourites | October

Ok, I have a confession! This post was originally meant to be a June Favourites but as some of you may know...I've been pretty rubbish on the blogging front recently! Having a job that has very long hours and then the added long commute on top of that has meant blogging has been majorly pushed to the side but now it's time to stop faffing and get on with it! However, my lack of blogging and money doesn't mean my search for new favourites has stopped! So here's what I've been loving this month.

My number one favourite is something I've completely fallen head over heels for and if you're a lifeless hair kinda gal like myself then you need this product in your life! I decided to pick it up by chance in a Escentual sale a few months ago and I am so glad I did. The Bumble and Bumble Bb Texture Cream performs a mini miracle in my hair every time I use it. For someone who has thick but very dull hair finding something that'll give it even the slightest amount of texture without using curlers (because it takes sodding hours with my hair) is something I've been looking for for a VERY long time now and finally I've found it!

This cream is almost like a gel but it gives that naturally tauselled, slightly messy textured look I've been craving to create for so long now and no amount of texture sprays, salt sprays or curl creams have made a dent in my hair before this one. I am one happy wavey haired lady!

The next favourite is a brush and I think it's the first time I've talked about any tools on here since the SO Project all those months ago. The Nanshy blending brush* is perfect for getting that amazing blended eyeshadow look we all know and love. The bristles are so soft and the wider head makes it really easy to use in the eye socket. I love the look of the brush too. The cream handles are so pretty and the brush also came in a cute little cloth bag which I thought was a really nice touch. It means I can pop the brush in the bag and drop it into my handbag without fear of the brush getting dirty. You can find out more about this amazing brush here!

My next favourite comes in the form of a hair accessory. As my hair is so thick when I wear it down it gets all in my face and just annoys the hell out of me. Not wanting to tie it up all the time I've found this clip has been a great compromise. It sweeps the front of my hair out of my face but let's me keep a nice loose style. I love the half up half down look but have never been able to achieve it before (because gribs just don't hold my hair in place at all) and this clip has made it possible.

The final favourite this month is the very popular Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream. I'm sure you've all heard of this as it popped up all over the blogging world over the summer. If you hadn't head of it then 1. Where have you been and 2. You need this in your life. This BB cream comes out white but adapts to your skin tone as you blend...which is amazing! I use number 1 an find it an exact match for me. This Bb cream lasts for most of the day, doesn't make me oily and looks incredible on the skin, what else could I ask for?

As it's a BB cream it is very sheer which I usually hate in a foundation products over the summer months this BB cream was a god send and it's still working it's magic as the cold rolls in. My face can feel clogged when I use full foundations but you certainly don't have that trouble with this Body Shop All-In-One!

I will no doubt do full reviews on all these products in due course which will go into more detal but basically I've loved all thse products and have used them pretty much everyday this month!

What products made your monthly list? Have you tried any of these? Let me know below.

Thanks for reading

New Release...sort of | Collection GALACTICA

This post is all about one of my favourite brands and a new release of theirs. Collection are a great brand that always have amazing new releases and the new Galactica range* brings a stunner to their stores! Believe me, if you're a fan of everything that glitters and shimmers you'll want to keep reading.

The Galactica range was release in Boots and Superdrug on the 3rd of September so don't worry ladies and gents you don't have to wait to get your hands on it. The new range consists of Collections trusty nail polishes (a firm favourite of mine) some lip butters and, to my pure delight, some new shades of the Fast Stroke Eyeliner. This liner is my favourite of all time (see why in my Bloggers Tag here) and I was extremely happy to see some glittery versions added to the collection.

Now, let me give you a little run down about the range. The Galactica collection is designed to make us all "Shine Beyond The Stars" and was inspired by the sequins, foils and multi-coloured metals seen on the A/W catwalks. If you're looking for that futuristic, sci-fi, disco twist then you can stop right here.

There are three new nail polishes all with a hit of shimmer. Blue Moon is a lovely deep...well blue colour (the clue is in the title), Galactic Gold brings a lovely bronze/gold to the collection and Shooting Star provides a choice for all you silver lovers out there.

The lip butters give us some lovely shades to add to our ever growing lip collection. These Lip Butter Pencils come in three equally lovely shades. Cosmic Candy is a pink with a punch, Moon Rock is a neutral yet gold-like colour and Pink Rush is a subtle pinky colour but all, of course have, some flakes of shimmer and glitter. The best thing about these lip butters? They can all give you a sheer shimmer to the lip or can be build up to a gorgeous thick layer of lovely lippie!!! What more could we ask for?

And finally the part I'm most excited about, the Fast Stoke Liners! I am a religious wearer of the black and brown versions and I already struggle to decide which to choose to create that cat eye first thing in a morning and the new Galactica range has put an extra spanner in the works. Ok, maybe I won't be reaching for these colours for my everyday make up look but on a night out choosing between these two beauties ain't going to be an easy thing that's for sure! Silver Lining and Solar Ray will certainly be bringing a futuristic bit of shimmer and glamour to my make up.

I can't wait to get trying all these little beauties and reviews will be up in due course for all three of these gems. My favourite thing about this range...all of these products are only £2.99! Yep all of them!

Have you tried the Galactica range from Collection yet? Which are you're favourites? Or which would you choose to add to your make up collection. Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading and thank you to Collection and LF Beauty for letting me try these beautiful products.

The Blogger Tag

So....I've been away for a while and that's for a few reasons but mainly because I've been feeling extremely unmotivated recently and have been finding it difficult to come up with ideas or write post's that I'm happy with. And that's where the lovely Lola from Lola's Little Wonders comes in, recently she tagged me in The Bloggers Tag which got me a thinkin...maybe a tag is just want I need to get be back into the swing of things. That's why I'd like to give a big old thank you to Lola for getting me off my big old butt and posting a new blog. Make sure you click the link above to her post and give it a gander as it's a good old read. Let's get into the tag then shall we?!?

1. What is you favourite beauty product?

Most beauty bloggers will know this feeling far too well but my favourite beauty product changes as often as I change my clothes. Because I'm always trying out different products this really wasn't an easy question to I didn't quite answer it properly, I am going to give 3 favourites instead!! My favourite high end product has to be the Bare Minerals mineral powder foundation. I have used this stuff for years now and no matter which liquid foundation I am using at the time I'm setting that foundation with some Bare Minerals! My favourite high street product has to go to the Collection Fast Stroke liquid eye liner. For £2.99 this liner doesn't budge, is incredibly pigmented and is hand's down the easiest eyeliner I have ever used! Again, I've been using this eyeliner for years and although I keep trying new ones, I always make my way back to the Collection liner. And finally, my favourite product at the moment is Avon's Anew Vitale BB+ cream. It's really lightweight and easy to wear; it's extremely easy to apply and it has a pretty great long lasting finish.

If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be a why?

Ok, taking Disneyland out of the equation (I've been there loads before so it's a bit of a waste of a choice for me even though it is hands down my favourite places ever!) I think I'd have to say Cuba. There's something about the relaxed lifestyle that really fascinates me and anywhere that is known for its amazing music and amazing vintage cars gets a huuuuge "I wanna be there" thumbs up from me. My dream is to go with my dad one day and sit in bars all day watching old men play in the blues and jazz bands they've been in for their whole lives, Buena Vista Social Club style! And sorry dad if you've been looking for you're DVD it's with me in bad!

What is your all time favourite brand?

Wow that's a toughie. I didn't think this question would be so hard to answer but I really do have a little bit of everything from most brands in my collection. If I really had to choose I would go with Bobbi Brown for bases and Nars for colour. Buuuut if you ask me again tomorrow I'll probably change my mind!

Do you collect anything?

Does make up count?!? I personally don't really collect anything but I have joined in with helping fuel my boyfriend's collections, anything globe or map related and Guinness Cups. The Guinness collection all started from when I visited a friend in Dublin and brought him one back as a gift. Now I get him one for every Birthday, Christmas and Valentines Day and after 6 years we're definitely running out of cupboard space!

Early bird or night owl?

Without a shadow of a doubt I'm a night owl. I think early mornings were invented just to annoy me. Sadly my other half is the opposite, which means neither of us get enough sleep. I keep him awake at night and he wakes me up in the morning. I'm also one of those people who needs about 15 hours to function so I have a tendency to be a grumpy sod at 9am on a Saturday!!! I do have to admit, as I'm getting older I'm (against my will) getting tired earlier and waking up earlier...quarter century crisis for sure!

Tea or coffee?

Definitely tea. I can't stand coffee it makes me pull very unattractive faces when I try it. I just hate the bitter taste it has but for some reason I absolutely love the smell of it. To be honest I'm not really a hot drink drinker, I only have a cup of tea on the odd occasion. Give me a glass of bina and fizz (sparkling Ribena) over a cuppa any day!

What's you favourite TV show?

It's a toss up between Game of Thrones and Great British Bake Off, I'm not going to be able to choose so don't make me!!!! To be honest I'd rather spend my time watching YouTube then TV.

If you could travel to any era, when would it be?

Easy, and I think I've said this in a post before, I definitely go back to the days where Motown was huge and you couldn't go anywhere without hearing some Aretha, Marvin Gaye or Jackie Wilson. That's the dream.

And that's it! Bloggers tag and first post in a month complete. Hopefully this will be one of many posts now so thank you again to Lola for inspiring me to actually get my ass in gear.

I now nominate Gemma,  Emsy, Kal and Zoe. As alway's when I do tags I fully understand if you don't want to do it.

Everyone else, let me know how you'd answer these questions below. Thanks for reading guys.
